Another Favorable Verdict for Matt Jaime

Matt Jaime recently recieved a well-controlled verdict.  In an all-but-admitted liability case, the plaintiff had already undergone one shoulder surgery prior to trial, and was claiming the need for at least one additional surgery due to ongoing symptoms.  Plaintiff requested an award in excess of $1 million.  After a two-week trial, the jury returned a modest verdict of $103,000.

Matt Jaime Successfully Defends Alleged Brain Injury Case

After five weeks of testimony from 35 witnesses, a request by plaintiff for an award of $6 million, and four days of deliberation, a Sacramento County jury unanimously concluded that the plaintiff had not suffered a brain injury as a result of a 2005 motor vehicle collision.  In fact, the jury awarded plaintiff $31,000 less than had been offered pre-trial by way of a CCP § 998 Offer for $200,000.
